The Drift Hotel in Key Largo is a charming boutique property with a prime location right on the water, offering breathtaking sunset views right from the hotel. The beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest, and the atmosphere feels cozy and relaxing. However, there are some downsides to consider. While the website promotes the hotel as a smoke-free property, there is little signage or communication about this rule on-site, which may lead to confusion for some guests. Additionally, the dock area, which is used by many locals, can be a bit of a disappointment. It’s not uncommon to find fish parts left behind by visitors who don’t clean up after themselves, detracting from the otherwise peaceful vibe. Overall, the Drift Hotel has its charm, but some small improvements could make it an even more pleasant experience.

Property was as advertised. A tiny little house with a small kitchenette, bedroom, and porch. The hotel beach was perfect for relaxing with hammocks, day beds and layout chairs. We had a great time while at the Drift. We will be back!

Great place! This is not a luxury resort, but it has everything you need and was exactly what we wanted. Fair price. Quiet, clean, and a great swimmable beach area that my kids loved to snorkel in. They saw starfish, lobster, many fish, snails, crabs, etc. We also were able to fish from the dock.

We took the kayaks out which was really fun. The beach area was really nice and not crowded when we were there. Sitting on the dock watching the sunset was nice. The room was small but clean. The biggest downside was the smell of cleaning chemicals... Nice to know it's clean, but couldn't get rid of the smell.

We stayed here one night, after Key West and before our flight from MIA. It was a great choice for that, but I would come back to stay at the property. It is attached to a small quiet beach, you can swim and kayak off the beach. There is lovely seating to watch the water. It is a small property, with limited staffing, but helpful nice people.

To be honest, I was a little worried when I drove up to the property. That went away quickly, the rooms were very nice(newly renovated). Beautiful view of the ocean, the dock was nice, nice chairs, hammocks, swinging lounge day beds, easy water access! I would definitely recommend Drift to family and friends. I will go back again.

Location, Location, Location...Although located off the major road. You felt like you entered your own private oasis when you entered the property. It had a private beautiful beach with comfortable spots to have your morning coffee and night time wine. We stayed five nights and did not have room service once. We got towels upon request but I would suggest room service, we thought after 3 nights there was room service.

It was ok. The bathroom door stuck. The shower faucet was coming out of the wall. The floor had some spots that made it feel like we would fall right through. We called to make sure there was a dock for our boat but what we were told and what was there are two different things. Overall we picked it for location and this was the second time we have stayed there. It won’t ever be a top choice for us, but for location and convenience it’s ok.

We LOVED the view and the seating available to just chill and watch the water or read (including swings and hammocks). The property does not have a “beach” but most affordable properties in the Keys do not. John Pennekamp State Park is about 20 minutes away and has 2 nice beach areas. This property could use some updating/maintenance, but for the price, I would do it again!! We were very close to a number of “touristy” options including bars, restaurants, shops, and charter boats.

The people that run this place are really great. It s very quiet and we loved the tiki huts and the pier that sat out in the water with the deck chairs. It’s very clean and they are very accommodating.

I rented a junior suite for 3 people and it ended up being a shoebox. They did not prep the room for 3 people… towels for 2 and there was a pullout couch with limited bedding. Once the couch bed was engaged there was no where to walk. Plus no breakfast options. The tv had many streaming options but u had to have your own account to use them. It was overpriced for what was offered
