The backside of the property line offers private walk-in access to the fresh picturesque kettle creek well known for its fishing of Wild Brook, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. Kettle Creek is stocked at a few locations and the creek front of this property is one of them. Go through the wetlands to get to the creek. Also just miles down the creek from the beautiful Kettle Creek Reservoir which is stocked preseason, during season and during winter to increase angler opportunities on the lake. Kettle Creek State Park is open for boating fishing ice fishing and swimming. Drive just miles to access the Hyner View State Park and the look-out, popular for hang gliding, running trails, the Red Hill Fossil Site and nature photography. Drive just miles to access Ole Bull State Park with a sandy swimming beach, picnic areas and fish-filled creeks and trails. There is an abundance of hiking trails in the park area. Visit the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette, Pa. Take a walk along the trails to view Pennsylvania's native elk population. Close to Cherry Springs State Park, known locally for its brilliant overnight astronomy observation field for serious stargazers and celestial photographers.
If you need a touchdown spot as you travel through rural Pennsylvania this is a great location. Unplug and disconnect from your regular everyday busy schedule. Minimalistic living off of the grid style camping. Scenic views for photography, nature walks and serenity. Some cell phone service but otherwise mostly technology free to really relax and recharge.
Take a step back in time and visit Kinney's General Store and try the delicious food at Debs Cross Fork Inn. Stop into the Kettle Creek Tackle Shop to gear up or have fishing equipment maintenanced at one of the largest flyfishing shops in Pennsylvania known locally for their nice selection of hand tied fly fishing lewers. This is a very nice area to enjoy the fresh air and great outdoors. Prime location to retreat if you have an interest in the annual Cross Fork Snake Hunt in June and/or are attending the Bluegrass Festival in Hemmersly Fork, approximately 5 miles from camp. Rural road access to Coudersport and Wellsboro.
Multiple car parking on site. Fire pit access and wood for clean burning. Creek access down the walking trail through the wetlands. Electricity available. There are two 5-gallon hanging showers in bags outside hanging under pavilion roof and plastic basin available in camper for bird bathing. Small refrigerator space available in the camper, bring cooler space. Plastic silverware, paper plates and cups stocked in the camper. Electric fry pan. Microwave. Coffee maker. Crock pot for cooking or try your hand at primitive cooking over an open fire. Outside charcoal grill on site. Recycle center located very close, bags will be available for recyclable trash, for you to drop at the center on the right on your way out.
1500-watt heater that does a great job at heating the 15' camper. Fan available in camper. No pets at this time related to vintage camper accommodations. Thank you!
Please absolutely no smoking inside of the camper at all times. Expose of cigarette butts in appropriate area and not all over the ground. Please leave the property as natural as you have found it. Thank you for following this rule.
