“All was great. Cabin was ready for us on arrival. Spotless, very clean and had everything we needed. Amenities were an Unexpected surprise, kayaks with great river launch. amazing pavilion with hammocks . Host gave us a tour of the property. We will be back!”

“Quaint little cottage on beautiful property, with shared pool and right across road from Guadalupe River. Loved the wallpapers and carved wooden furniture. Was great to have a comfy holiday home where our dog was welcome. In the mornings we enjoyed sitting on the screened porch with lovely view of nature, or down in the dry creek, before the heat of the day got to us. Check-in was very simple, and we lacked nothing during the stay.”

“The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this……

“We loved this cozy cottage. It is well maintained and had all the conveniences and privacy of home. It was a comfy place to return to each evening. Our hostess kept me updated regularly. ”

“The house was great. There is a refrigerator and a microwave but no stove…didn’t bother us because we ate out. We will definitely go back. The only little downside is that when leaving the house…there is a blind spot to get onto the main road. Just be careful. I still recommend this house. Very clean.”

“Love the vintage collection and decoration to make this a "Red Barn". Everything you need for a get away. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a full breakfast and late night snack. Host is very nice to take us to kayaking in the near park. Nice view to the valley. You may also welcome by the deer in the morning.”
