The room was pretty clean but furniture looked a little worn. The bathroom was updated, but there was a chip on the base of the toilet (right where you would see it as you look down), and the bathroom sink was dirty & yellow under the rim. Comfortable pillows & mattress. The breakfast was good. The noise was pretty bad the first 2 nights. We could hear everything, with several people repeatedly talking loudly as they walked up & down the hall, knocking on their friend's doors. Didn't hear much the 3rd night because it was on Dec. 30th, on a Monday night, so probably very few people staying in the hotel that night. The heat/air conditioning seemed to have a mind of its own. We tried to adjust it because it was 78 degrees when we checked in (it was 55 degrees outside) but it was impossible to adjust the thermostat. We turned it on air conditioning, but it would adjust itself throughout the evening, going from 76 to 68 without us touching the thermostat. The front desk staff didn't sound very surprised, and did not offer to switch us to another room. Turned on a/c fan to drown out the noise in the hallway. I called the front desk to ask if they had a corkscrew we could borrow to open a bottle of wine but they said no. Not terrible, but would not recommend.
