I had a very mixed experience at this property. The first and last impressions were the most disappointing with check-in and breakfast. At check-in it took the front desk associate more than 5 minutes to notice that I was standing right in front of him. Wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Basically threw my keys at me and said, "That's it!" I had never been to the property before and he didn't offer any information about the property including where the elevators were, breakfast, or even how the parking situation worked. I was also not welcomed as a marriott bonvoy member even though I checked-in online.
As a previous front desk agent and manager who currently works in a customer facing role in retail, I'm concerned for what impression this is giving your property. After check-in, my stay got quite a bit better. The room was immaculately clean with a personalized note from housekeeping and a dog shaped towel on each bed with a candy cane inside. That was such a nice personal touch upon arrival. After I got settled I went down to the bar and had the best cosmopolitan I've ever had. It was fresh and made by such a warm and welcoming bartender. Her and what I assume to be the interim sales manager were the absolute highlights of my stay. Made me feel right at home and gave me recommendations to explore the local area. Breakfast was quite disappointing as it was worse than the free breakfast offered at most hotels.Warm meat and cheese and burnt coffee, not great.
