Newly renovated ranch style duplex unit is conveniently located near the freeways for quick access to the local colleges and universities, local businesses, shopping and dining. Whether your stay is for business or pleasure, you will enjoy the privacy and tranquil environment. The main living area faces the back yard where there are three large maple trees that offer plenty of shade during hot sunny days. The backyard is fenced in for added privacy and security. There is also a fire pit in the back yard for a late evening marshmallow roast or just to relax by an open fire with friends and cold beverages. There's 2200 square feet of living area that includes the basement, which is 1/3 finished. The basement has an egress window that allows for additional sleeping space if needed. There is also a washer and dryer available for guest staying 5 or more nights.
Guest will have access to the entire unit and the back yard. Currently, there will be no access to the garage, but driveway parking is available as well as the parking space that is located on the right side of the driveway. During the summer months, you and/or your guest can also park on the street in front of the house. There is a city ordinance that prohibits street parking beginning November 1st through April 15, from 2am till 6am.
I'm your next door neighbor; however, I travel often for business and pleasure. When I am home, I'm usually just relaxing, watching sports or out and about doing some type of outdoors activity. The city of Portage offers an extensive bikeway system that allows users to enjoy nature and connects to cultural resources. Most of the roads have designated bicycle lanes and there are separate off-road trails for joint bicycle and pedestrian use.
The neighborhood is fairly quite. All of the homes in the Circle are duplexes, where roughly 40% are owner occupied and the balance are occupied by renters. The area attracts young families with children because of low vehicle traffic. It is not uncommon to see families or kids walking or playing in the streets.
