Welcome to Clarence Farm Stay! Situated on Australia's North Coast, home to pristine surf beaches, rainforests, and farmlands. With the tiny house's name "Chicken Farm Stay" we breed small-scale chickens such as Silkies, Frizzles, Hy-Line Browns, and Belgian D'uccles. A beautiful farm stay situated on idyllic farmland surrounded by native bushland, abundant wildlife, and two friendly dogs, Buckley and Alfie, to keep you company.
The Space:
Clarence Farm Stay sits in the quiet village of James Creek, situated at Australia's North Coast, home to pristine surf beaches, rainforest and waterfalls, and farmland. Located 2 hours between Numbucca Heads and the Gold Coast, close to the coastal village of Brooms Head, Yamba, known for its amazing beaches, and Iluka Beach, which is only 30 minutes away.
A cozy accommodation of 139 square feet near the old-fashioned town of Maclean and Yamba's stunning beaches, surrounded by native bushland, sugarcane, and James Creek's comforting natural environment. It has easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be wildlife, farm animals, and farmyard noise during your stay with us. For light sleepers or sensitive to noise, please bring your earplugs with you.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house, except the land host's private residence, shed, and the surrounding area. If you're interested, we have a soccer goal, a basketball hoop, and golf clubs available to borrow.
Please advise that we have two dogs on the property - Buckley is our awesome Maremma dog who's on duty to protect our chickens, and Alfie is a playful Border Collie who sometimes hangs out in the yard. Additionally, we have two semi-indoor cats and an underground cat fence.

- Maclean is an old-fashioned town by the river.
- Clarence River is most popular for boating and fishing.
- Yamba is a town with cafes, restaurants, and stunning beaches.
- Angourie is the ideal destination for surfing, beaches, and national parks.
- Sandon Point is a town most locals go to getaway, home to beautiful rivers and beaches.
- Brooms Head has some of the best beaches, away from the crowds, and if you're lucky spot an endangered coastal emu.
- Bundjalung National Park on the north coast, offers opportunities for beach walking, fishing, mountain biking and several school excursion options.
- Iluka Beach is a beautiful beach between Captains Beach and Greenpatch, known for its unspoilt bushland and clear blue waters.

- No BBQ grill
- Pets are allowed by prior notice
- No unregistered guests or visitors allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Telstra, Optus & Vodafone have weak signal; others have no signal
- Due to our rural location, we cannot guarantee continuous internet access
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas, and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out in courtesy of other guests
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Guest Advisory
- Expect wildlife, specifically large male kangaroos on site
- Please do not approach kangaroos as they may aggressively kick
Farm guidelines
- We have a pet shop that you are free to visit
- Expect friendly small goats, friendly chickens, a shy dog and a social dog
- Farm experience is available by prior notice, or you can ask the host directly on-site
- We kindly ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health
- We also have Meredith and Billy, our goats, that you could keep at a safe distance as they are still untamed. However, they are easily attracted to food.
- We breed chickens on a small scale like Silkies, Frizzles, Hy-Line Brown, and Belgian D'uccles (which is the most friendly). In spring, we have baby chicks you're welcome to pet.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
