“The Archer House is located within 15-20 minutes of all things Springfield, Illinois. It is located across the street from a subdivision of nice homes which we saw on a long walk one evening. We were able to visit the Lincoln home, walk to the train depot, stay a long time at the Lincoln Museum, tour the Dana Thomas House and dawdle at the Lincoln New Salem site (30 minutes away at Petersburg), and walk Washington Park.
