This is an older boutique hotel with no stairs to navigate. There is a lift up the rooms as well as staircases.Yes, it is a bit rundown in the carpet, but everything I needed was clean and excellent. The staff, especially Jamie and Jiorja (spelling? Sorry, women!), could not have been more helpful in terms of getting taxis, answering questions, and generally being kind. Although I didn’t eat breakfast there, I did have dinner twice at MacNabs, the attached restaurant, and it was very good. When my room was cold, Jamie brought me a room heater immediately, and it was perfect. When I thought I had lost my wallet, they both tried to help. (I hadn’t.)
The location is excellent, too, because although it is over the Ness River, shopping, even for those of us with walking disabilities, was very easy. Inverness is a small city, so if I can walk it with a rollator, pretty much anyone can!
