Experience the charm of our freshly renovated A-Frame nestled in the serene woods, just a short 10-minute drive from downtown Lake Ann and Interlochen. Across the street, you'll find public access to Bronson Lake, and down the road lies the Platte River, renowned for world-class fishing. If you crave the rustic allure of dirt roads and the tranquility of escaping the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect getaway for you!
Our A-Frame offers a peaceful and secluded retreat while remaining centrally located to all the adventures Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties have to offer. The property backs up to a sprawling 200+ acre nature preserve with scenic hiking trails, and it's less than a 30-minute drive to Empire, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, and Traverse City.
We dedicated over a year to meticulously renovating this A-Frame, revamping it from the ground up to create a comfortable haven for our guests. Mini-split heating and cooling systems ensure your year-round comfort. While our Wi-Fi isn't blazing fast, it's sufficient for streaming Netflix. The cabin accommodates up to four guests, with one bedroom featuring a king-size bed that features a TV and a sound machine and a loft boasting two cozy built-in twin beds that also features a sound machine. The space is rich with charming nooks and crannies, and thoughtfully adorned with tasteful decor.
Step outside onto the expansive deck in the large outdoor space, complete with a firepit and charcoal grill for relaxing evenings under the stars.
Convenience and security are paramount, with smart locks granting easy access to the house.
We remain readily available to you throughout your stay via VRBO messaging, with an average response rate of under 1 hour. Our phone number is also provided to you during check-in for any urgent requests or emergencies.
Although our A-Frame is just a short drive from Lake Ann, it maintains a secluded ambiance. Expect a picturesque journey across narrow bridges and along dirt roads to reach us.
Parking is abundant in this woodsy neighborhood on a peaceful dirt road. Given our woodland setting, the occasional encounter with a stray bug is part of the rustic experience.
If you're planning a winter stay, bear in mind that Northern Michigan is Old Man Winter's homeland. Roads can get slippery and may go unplowed, and events could be rescheduled or canceled. We strongly recommend arriving with a well-prepared vehicle equipped with all-wheel drive or snow tires.
Please note that we have a Nest home doorbell/camera for added security during your stay.
