I loved the beautiful property and that there is a great forest right on the grounds with both a 2km and a 6km loop that are very well marked and have different levels of difficulty.
There are different cottages at varying levels of offerings and sizes. I stayed in the Main Inn.
The views, docks and water are picturesque.
They provide Muskoka chairs to sit and read or enjoy the views, however those are not senior friendly, so something to keep in mind if travelling with parents or seniors.
They have 2 areas that have a bon fire going each night, so bring marshmallows. Again, seating is not great for elderly.
Because we were there on the Labour Day weekend, I think they were understaffed. The restaurant food was very good, with different price ranges, and the lamb was absolutely delicious, but the service and speed were really poor.
There were little things in the room that I would have expected would have been included, like a shelf in the bathroom, a soap dish, and black out curtains.
There are lights outside to light the paths, so the wooden blinds let a lot of light in, and I like a dark room, it was like sleeping with the lights on, so bring an eye mask.
