“Outstanding service, food, amenities and grounds. We enjoyed our 5 days at Schloss Roxburghe immensely which made it truly difficult to tear ourselves away. The Golf course is spectacular and the views of the rolling hills, ancient bridge and cattle in the distance are so delightful. Nod to the lovely staff at both the clubhouse and estate. The dinner at Charlie's was superb and Sunlaws was exceptional. The service we received throughout our stay was so welcoming and first class. We could have……

“Check in was chaotic and our evening meal booking was lost! This meant a late evening dining time. When I got to my room it was obvious the bathroom had not been cleaned (see photo of Bath plug) This was disgusting and reported to reception but it took another day before resolution. No offer was made to change room or compensation. I have since left messages with manager to try to discuss this issue but had no response which is extremely disappointing and very unprofessional. I would not come……

“This accommodation is very well located in the Kelso town square and within easy walking distance to pubs, cafes and restaurants. The bakery to the left of the front door is outstanding for home cooked morning rolls and beautiful cakes. Apartment 1 is spacious, clean and has everything you need despite the furnishings being a bit dated. Note this accommodation may not be suitable for those with mobility issues due to the stairs to all rooms. This is a great base for trips to Lindisfarne,Bamburgh……

“We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future.”

“I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room……
