They were located across the street from a park notorious for local drug deals. This immediately set a tone of unease for the entire stay.
The issues continued with our room. The air conditioning was broken, and it took three requests before any action was taken. The lobby had a constant, overwhelming smell of sewage, making it unpleasant to even walk through. To make matters worse, the TV in the lobby was always set to Fox News, which was frustratingly unavoidable.
The hotel advertised a "free continental breakfast," but this turned out to be a complete joke. The breakfast was extremely limited and only served at 7 a.m. until it ran out, which, as we learned, was by 8 a.m. No egg patties were left by then. To make matters worse, another guest warned us to stay away from the apple juice a
