Hunt Hollow Hideaway: log-off & soak in the spa, visit waterfalls and wineries

We seriously cannot say enough about just how wonderful you'll feel soaking in the hot tub sipping a glass of wine after a day exploring the finger lakes!
Expect to see us working in the gardens or animal pens and playing in the field or star-gazing while having a campfire.
We live in the heart of NY wine country just minutes from Naples and Honeoye, we are a perfect starting and ending point for a tour. With in minutes you can be hiking for waterfalls and gullies, boating, hunting, ski slopes, and cross-country trails.
Your cottage boasts a bright family room with an attached kitchen and a master bedroom/bath suite downstairs. And a loft bedroom/reading nook/bathroom with a separate balcony/entrance upstairs.
We expect you to want your privacy but we are always happy to chat, or offer area recommendations over a community campfire or a glass of wine if you like!
We want this to be your best experience of the year and are so excited to share our home with you!
(Just no smoking inside, please)

Pets are NOT allowed. Due to the safety of our animals and the cleanliness of the cottage we cannot allow pets anymore.

- Please do not enter the main home, garage or shed without invitation.

Potential for noise - We do have children that play on the property, but they will not be invasive.
Pets live on the property - two friendly dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys pigs, and goats!
Amenity limitations - There is currently no TV or wifi.
Security Deposit - If you damage the home, you may be charged up to $100.

disappointing stay
First impression at arrival: very dark, unsure if we were at the correct location, no address sign or outside lights to the porch. It was very dark and no pathway, as my sister was handicapped her footing was unsure from the car to the front porch. Entering: the down stairs bedroom bed was very high off the floor and my handicapped sister was challenged to get on and off the bed. This bathroom had shelving falling off the wall at the sink area. The floor was collapsing under the sink. The shower shelving was not secured to the wall. Upstairs: dead flies accumulated. The bath faucets were turned on and there was water leaking from behind the wall into the tub. The ceiling was so slanted that nothing could be done without leaning over.... the bath, the toilet, the sink. We left a day early and did not ask for any reimbursement, since we felt it would not be agreed. We just found a hotel and rented 2 rooms. The grounds were nice and the location was good, but the overall experience was not.

Old fashioned home
This is a cute old fashioned home. It was comfortable and meet our needs. The jacuzzi was a nice perk and was clean and working. The home has everything you need to cook for a family. The owners are quick to answer questions. Had a great stay here.

The Power of Pause in Nature's setting
We really needed a break from our hectic life and this sweet cottage was the perfect and lovely setting for us. The house was immaculate, cozy, welcoming and quiet...We totally relaxed with good books and a little music in the background while we were there. We had plans for every night, but during the day we just did absolutely nothing but chill. The hosts never bothered us, but were available nearby if we needed anything. The hot tub was extra special one night when we returned home and had the luxury of it under a star filled sky. All in all, it was truly a wonderful experience to disconnect from everything for a few days. We should do it more often...

Fantastic Eclipse Getaway
I picked this place because it was in the zone of totality and I could watch the eclipse from the comfort of a hot tub instead of having to fight through traffic. Clouds unfortunately completely blocked the view but still had a great time. There were some minor maintenance issues like how the main bedroom door downstairs did not shut that should be fixed to improve other's experience but overall it was a lovely visit. When I was leaving I sent a message about possibly losing a necklace that they never responded to but they responded to messages while I was there fine. The bed is super comfortable! I'd go again.

Great for visiting Hunt Hallow ski hill.
Check in process was great. The house was warm and cozy. The kitchen was just the right size for a 4 person family. The cottage is on the older side but everything was clean and tidy. Water pressure was very low, but bathrooms where clean. Hot tub could have used a vacuuming, but it was nice to have it after skiing or spending time out doors. Owner and her husband were very accommodating and the chickens and other animals where very fun to watch.

Exactly what we wanted!
The house was a little hard to find in the dark, but other than that, it was everything we wanted for our stay! The home was clean and tidy, and offered exactly what we needed for a rural stay in the country. 10/10 - will definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Our Stay
The little place was rustic. Very nice inside and clean. Could do with somevweeding and simple landscape update but other than that we liked it. Glad to be left alone as we like to keep to ourselves but a small welcome note would of been nice!

The cottage was the perfect location for our ski race at Hunt Hollow. Cottage was clean. Beds were comfortable. Hot tub was FANTASTIC! Cottage could use a little maintenance, but overall was a great stay! If you want to unplug and recharge, this is a perfect getaway!

Straight out of a Fairy Tale
Sheep, goats, free range chickens, hiking trails amidst clear streams, a witchy little kitchen garden. Cottage is darling and serviceable, however the this and that's are numerous. I was more amused by them, my friend, not so much. Unfortunately she drowned in the hot tub as life jackets were not provided.

Horrible property. Unkept and not at all what was advertised.
Pulled in to find that the yard was overgrown and the house was very worn. This was not at all like the pictures fearured as advertised. Felt dirt inside. No wifi. Luckily we were gone all day and only needed a place to sleep. The only winning feature was the hot tub.

Cute little cottage
We would definitely come and stay again. The cottage was clean and cozy. While the main house is close we definitely had privacy. The hosts were friendly. We loved the sunsets and the hottub was so relaxing after a day at the winery's. We enjoyed the baby goats and the pigs.

A little worn but comfortable
Overall we had a nice stay. Very reasonable price and the location was close to Naples which was fun to check out. Owner was kind and accommodating. Might be helpful for renters to know that the house is very close to the owners with the hot tub facing their front door. The hot tub was a big selling point for us, but was in need of a good cleaning. The owners responded to this concern, noting it was due to well water but the bubbles were yellow and the film so bad that it stained our suits. The house was nice, rustic, beds were comfortable, had all essentials.

Cute little cottage
This place was just big enough to accommodate 3 kids and 3 adults but small enough to be cozy. No TV (which is advertised) was such a nice change of pace and the kids loved the animals and playing soccer! Close to hiking and outside activities. Within a 20-30 min drive to larger towns and tucked away with beautiful views! Thanks again for a great stay :)

Nice Place To Stay
Price was great 👍 Somethings to note Owners house is very close to the property however they never bothered us Hot Tub needed a good cleaning and this was one of the reasons we chose this house If this is a perk to your property it should be spotless and ready to use Minor things that could be improved upon No upstairs garbage can anywhere No end tables in the Master Bedroom No hand towels for the bathrooms Outside light did not work Overall a nice place to stay for the money but if your looking for wineries and breweries close by be advised it’s a least a 20 minute drive

Could not be happier
Before booking, I knew this place would be a little remote for doing trips over toward Seneca Lake/Watkins Glen. What I wasn't prepared for was just how cozy and relaxing it was. Our children had a blast playing with the host's children, and I have nothing but great things to say about the hosts. They promptly repaired an issue with the hot tub and were very accommodating in every way. We comfortably slept 6 people (4 adults, two young children). My children, hopeless YouTube addicts, were not even bothered by the lack of wifi. That alone says a ton. If you are planning to book, be prepared for longer drives to the busy (tourist) areas of the Finger Lakes. It wasn't a deal-breaker for us, in fact quite the opposite. We loved everything about it and are already talking about when we can go back.

My family desperately needed a little getaway this COVID summer and this was perfect. The cottage is bright & spacious and we had fun exploring the surrounding lakes & trails. The hot tub & fire pit were delightful. Kelly & Chris were very kind, helpful hosts. Added bonus that we got to see newborn piglets on our final morning! A great getaway.
