“This was a great place to stay. I can imagine that in the summer, folks who want to get on the river or sit around the fire pit would be so happy. We stayed when it snowed hard so we didn't do any outdoor activities. The owner was amazing. She attentive and responsive. The only issue we had was with the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a sign when one pulls onto the road that there are a bunch of dogs who live there, which isn't a problem if one isn't allergic to dogs. What we didn't expect……

We came down to celebrate my daughter’s 21st Birthday by going to the Halloween parade. We had an awesome time. This place is so close to everything we wanted to do. “The name is accurate - this cottage is Charming. We spent 4 nights at the Douglas cottage and loved our stay. We visited for a wedding in the area with my husband and I, our 2 young children, and my parents. The house was set up perfectly for our group (my parents on the main floor and our family upstairs). “Before booking, we were unsure because we typically stay right on the lake. We weren't sure how much the daily commute to the beach and back would bother us but it was easy peasy with the golf cart! I'm sure it wouldn't have bothered us even without the golf cart because they do have a nice scenic trail through the woods to get there where we saw deer and turkeys. Jeannette was very helpful prior to booking and accomodating. We didn't have to reach out to her during our stay because everything……
