Summary:
Ideally located only 4 km from the Hobart CBD, this renovated, comfortable one bedroom apartment provides perfect access to attractions such as MONA, the North Hobart restaurant strip and State Cinema. Perfect for couples or singles, its ideal location on a quiet & charming street on the city fringe means Hobart's highlights and main events are all conveniently within your reach.

The Space:
Welcome to my spacious & modern apartment! Renovated and cosy, the apartment has been carefully appointed to ensure guests stay in total comfort and style. A fully equipped kitchen with European appliances makes dining-in an easy alternative for those travelling on a shoe-string. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk are provided for your enjoyment and with supermarkets nearby and renown Jackman McRoss bakery on the corner you'll have all you need to cook up a feast!

A new front-load washing machine is available for any personal laundry.

The modern bathroom has a walk-in shower and professionally laundered towels for your comfort. Relax into your stay in the spacious and light filled living & dining area.

Enjoy a meal at the cosy dining table, then sink into the comfy leather sofa for a night in. There is a new flat screen TV, WiFi internet, as well as a good selection of films, cds, quality literature and current magazines to muse over at your leisure.

The cosy bedroom is dressed with comfortable linen on the queen sized bed, and a warm throw rug and electric blanket for the winter nights. There is ample cupboard space for hanging and folding clothes.

Guest Access:
Guests will have the apartment entirely to themselves and are welcome to access all aspects, including the common areas around the building.

You are welcome to potter in the communal garden and have use of the clothes line. Past the clothes line and around the corner of the apartment is our alfresco dining nook.

The Neighborhood:
New Town is the best location for you to experience one of the coolest parts of Hobart - a hip, friendly neighbourhood with views of Mount Wellington. Ideally located close to the city, with a leafy urban charm!

Guests are spoiled for choice with an abundance of cafes, restaurants, specialty shops, vintage stores, art house cinema and bookstores close by.

One of Hobart's top bakery/cafes 'Jackman & McRoss' is just around the corner from the apartment.

There are also many other eating and drinking options either within walking distance or a 2-5 minute drive away, including:

- Green Store Organic Cafe & Grocer (Main Road NewTown, 4 mins walk)
- Post Office Cafe (Main Road Network Town, 2 mins walk)
- Gioconda Cafe & Laundromat (Main Road New Town, 2 mins walk)
- MUY Easy Bites Malaysian (Main Road New Town, 5 mins walk)
- Jean Pascal Patisserie (New Town, 8 mins walk)

Nearby hip, happening & eclectic North Hobart (15 mins walk or 2-5 mins drive towards the city) is a strip of non-stop eating and drinking options, boutiques, food specialty stores and the renown State Cinema which features a rooftop bar. As a suggestion, enjoy some live music and good pub grub at either the Republic or the Winston.

There are also two major supermarkets, both within 2-5 minutes walking distance, as well as an organic greenstore on the main road.

Getting Around:
New Town is an inner-city suburb approximately 4 km from the CBD of Hobart. If you choose to walk, you can expect an easy 20 minute walk.

Alternatively buses run regularly along New Town Road, a short stroll from the apartment. From the CBD you can easily access attractions such as historic Battery Point, Salamanca Market and the ferry to MONA.

Interaction with Guests:
Although I won't be available in person during your stay, help is easily available. Contact can be made via message (or a phone call for emergencies) and guests are provided with a house manual for their stay.

The property was fairly clean and very well equipped! The front door had an electronic lock which saved carrying keys! It was handy having our own washing machine which we used regularly! Located just 4 km from the city centre was awesome! The private car park was very handy and fairly secure! Would recommend this place to people as a good unit to hire in the future!
