We stayed in the room with the king-size bed. It was worth the extra money. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. If you must have an updated and spacious bathroom, you will have to go somewhere else. Our bathroom was spacious for the time when it was built. The sink represents that period.
The house is on a hill, a short distance uphill from Main Street. The view of the mountains is lovely from the front yard. You will find very good restaurants located on the streets just down the hill from the house. We ate dinner at Caffee REL two days in a row and enjoyed bagels at Brooklyn Bagel.
Breakfast consisted of good orange juice, fresh fruit, and coffee. My husband requested scrambled eggs, which arrived with crisp fried potatoes and a pan of freshly baked biscuits. I requested granola and yogurt. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, and so did I.
We enjoyed looking at the period details in the house. Our host was very gracious. He told us about the history of the house.
