Propery owener did not understand service pet policy. They would not allow us to bring our service dog through the lobby. Thwybwanted to move us to a different room that was pet friendly. We declined and the owner became very ride. We were discriminated against for being handicapped.

This was our second year staying here, very clean large rooms,quiet. Super owners, very helpful in dining ideas etc. It is an older property in the process of renovation. No complaints whatsoever, will stay again.

Worth your money
Super clean remodeled hotel. Owners were really nice. Bed was firm but comfortable. Microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee pot in every room. Definitely will be passing through and staying again.

Nice and cozy
My stay here was amazingly comfortable. The couple that own the place was very helpful and sweet. The room was clean the beds were soft. I had no way of getting around town and they assisted me the best they could. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality. ❤️❤️

The owner was present at check-in and was very sweet and friendly. Our room was good-sized, very comfortable, and very clean. Staying here, you know you're supporting a family-owned business rather than a chain. The building and furnishings look quite dated. If you're looking for a fancy new building this is probably not the place for you, but if you're looking for a safe, clean, comfortable stay you are absolutely in the right place.

Owner checked us in, ver friendly. Room was clean and appeared to be renovated. Bathroom show sighs of wear but was clean. The dinning room and swimming pool is is pending renovations.

The owners of the hotel are wonderful. The hotel itself though is very old and basically falling apart. It was clean and mostly comfortable and a fine place for an overnight stay.

An old but clean place to stay
Choice in Hiawatha are limited. I was in town one night for the marathon. The proprietor was very accommodating in allowing a late checkout. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, which was all I needed. I'm a DIY guy so I notice things. The room door and bathroom door looked recently repainted. Whoever did it didn't bother to remove the hardware first - there was paint on the knob plate, the hinges had been painted, and the bathroom door didn't close easily because of the paint layers. And the toilet needed repair - the handle had to be held down for the full cycle for it to flush. Little things, but items that made the place seem old and worn.
