We were greeted as stated on the information provided, ring bell, no reception. A lovely, elderly lady was very welcoming, then showed us to our room which was not in Munstone House, as we expected. We were led through what had once been beautiful gardens and terraces of varying heights, down uneven slippery steps and through an outside seating area. This was tatty and unkempt. Our room was much larger than expected. however, it was dark and cold.We discovered once in bed you had to get out and go to the door to turn the many lights off. No reading lights. It was a bit like being in a decorated cave. Large TV, but no comfortable seating. A vast bathroom, which was bright when all the lights were on. Great to have a bath and a shower available. far too many mirrors. Breakfast was collected by ringing the bell. A plentiful plastic bag of fruit, sandwich, crisps and fruit juice. Disappointed that I never saw any part of the house except the outside and greeting area. The gardens and terraces had so much potential but need a great deal of restoration and care.
