“We stayed at Chris' mansion for my wedding this past weekend and it was everything I expected and more. Although it isn't a full service venue, the owner Chris was sooooo helpful in getting everything we needed for our wedding. He owns a restaurant as well and was able to provide all of our appetizers, servers and bartenders! We even had our rehearsal dinner at his bar down the street called Jax on Tap. The bartenders were absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome. They even made a sign……

“In town for a long weekend and loved the location. The owner was prompt and very helpful as we made a mistake in booking. FYI, The pictures are great but it’s a bit more rustic than they make it seem. Still, it was great to sit outside and hear the brooks flowing. Very quiet street! Housecleaning was a bit lacking though as there were some huge cobwebs in the corners. That was fine for us as we spend our time in a barn anyway. ”

“This is our 3rd time staying here, we love this historic home, it is in very good condition. The home is very clean, well stocked, the layout is very good and the communication with the host is also very good. We love the brook going by. It is close to Smith College where our daughter goes to school. We also enjoy the many other places and things to do in this area. Even after our daughter graduates I can see us coming back to this home and part of Massachusetts. ”

“Every need accommodated including a back-up generator! Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. Very cozy and spacious home inside. Very comfortable bed mattress in master bedroom. Lots of yard for dogs to run free. Nature all around. Lots of books and board games there. Laundry room was a big plus. Remote setting but lots to see and explore within reach. Very lovely stay and hosts were very responsive.”

“We stayed two days but were mostly for sleep and sightseeing/visits. Certainly fit the bill for our needs. Would recommend to friends ”

“It is a beautiful home with a ton of space (we only had 3 people, but it easily sleeps 6), very clean and well-kept. Our hosts provided everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I also like that the hosts were not overboard with all the rules, as with some other rentals. The hosts were beyond friendly and had excellent communication throughout the whole process. If you are looking for a lovely home with a ton of space to stay while exploring Vermont and Massachusetts, I highly recommend……

“We loved this large, well-kept home. The house has tons of room, so even though we had a large group, everyone found space and we never felt crowded. The kitchen/dining area is a great space for gathering and sharing a meal. And, the younger members of our group loved the hot tub and large yard for playing in. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with. We hope to be back!”

“We stayed three nights here. Just the two of us. I felt the pictures were misleading. Much smaller than expected. Since it was just the two of us it was perfect. ”

“We loved the property! Our family, which included 2 very young grandchildren all felt comfortable in this historic home with 2 modern bathrooms. I loved the open kitchen and family rooms, and the original wide plank floors. Plus, we were happy to find toys to entertain the 3 year old. The owners were very gracious and responsive. Visitors should just be aware that the owners' unit shares a common wall with the house. Dog barking and sounds of their kitchen preparation were evident through the……
