When we drove up to the hotel, it was hard to believe it was the correct address. The property on the outside is completely run down and in a remote and off the beaten path location. The staff were actually nice when we checked in, and the lobby was attractive, but that’s the best I can say. The two story hotel looked like it was abandoned, and when we finally found the room it was down a long and dingy hallway. The actual bedroom was quite nice and had been upgraded and decorated very well, but the bathroom was sadly in need of TLC. The faucet was gross and corroded and the caulking around the tub and floor had a half inch gap that had been filled with putty that was dirty.
There were trucks driving by the bedroom all night, and people above us were having a loud party until we left at 4:00 in the morning. I felt unsafe and some of the guests that we saw in the hallway looked sad and dejected. The room price was very reasonable and now we understand that people who were staying there were financially challenged.
In the future I will spend more for a quality hotel that I feel safe in.
