Although there were problems which were beyond the ability of the owners because of the heavy rains and high water, they worked very well with us and getting everything situated. 「We loved our stay here! It was right off the Cypress Bayou on a branch of the river so we could easily kayak to the main bayou and access a nearby rope swing, but we were away from all the boating noise. We stayed there with our 4 little ones and had plenty of room! We loved the covered back patio that has doors we could lock on all sides so the kids could not access the water. Host was great and gave us tips on where to eat! Highly recommend, it is such a beautiful and unique area to stay in!...

「This place is off the beaten path and really unique. This place can comfortably sleep 8 people and has plenty of outside deck area. Although we aren't fishers... This is a great place for people who fish. The grandkids loved the loft room and unique steps up to that room. The place was clean and had plenty of linens and beach towels. We had a great time.」

「Wonderful...country...lake and quiet! Enjoyed our relaxation get-a-way time! Did some fishing but mother nature wasn't to kind with the weather. We didn't get to see one of their famous sunsets.The hosts were awesome. Very attentive to every detail and the above and beyond personal touches made us feel right at home there. We even bought one of Frank's unique one-of-a-kind wood working creations as a souvenier of our trip. Thank you Frank and Linda for a wonderful weekend!」

「We were so glad we stayed at this cabin! There is no control over the weather and rain, and the recent rains the area had, had the water level so high that we could not use the pier and the beautiful views from it. But with even with the rains, we spent hours on the covered porch with the fabulous view from there. It inside of the cabin was well stocked with most any utensil, appliances, tv, dining and plenty of comfortable seats. It was gorgeous inside and a real pleasure to stay there.」

「Property was exceptionally clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting so much. Short distance to a great steakhouse and a seafood restaurant as well. We never received any information regarding the property manager but a neighbor gave us information regarding the owner who was very pleasant and helpful regarding access. Water quality needs attention. Would recommend for quiet getaway」

「This cabin was such a great and cozy place to stay! My wife and I loved it! It’s a picturesque hidden gem in the heart of Marshall. Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown and the ETBU campus. This historic cabin has a great brick pathway leading up to it and is surrounded by beautiful trees. We’ve found our new place every time we go to Marshall. Shawn, the owner, had great communication and was very helpful. Oh yeah, and the Christmas tree up in June was a bonus! This is the place to stay when...
