See amazing wave formations around Castle Rock located just a stone's throw from your rental! Wake up early and check out Haven's Neck and Fish Rock, or watch the sun set over them at the end of the day. And for additional outdoor adventures, the Gualala River is less than a mile away and is perfect for a beginning kayaking trip!

Beautiful home on a beautiful location!
We loved our stay at waves end. Everything was smooth from start to finish. The property was clean on our arrival, and of course, the view and the hot tub were amazing!! I would recommend this location to all. We’re sorry that we did not do a load of laundry on our departure, but the machine was a little challenging to figure out, and did not want to break it or put soap in wrong area.

Lost in the Beauty of this view.
Our first night when we got there the power was out due to a storm but we still enjoyed every moment there. Watching the sunset while we enjoy our dinners. We will definitely return. Thank you for allowing us to stay here and have an experience of a lifetime.

Amazing ocean views
The property was nice and spacious for the 3 of us. I wish we could use the washer/dryer and outside firepit but it was locked up. The courtyard was great with the table to have breakfast and the backyard with deck was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous views and such a nice treat

Scenic Location Right at the edge of Beach. This house specifically has lot Kitchen Utensils and accessories. Great for family stay . I only felt rooms were little small and the common bath room was also very small

Beautiful home with ocean view but there are ants in kitchen and bathrooms!!
We booked thru VRBO and it was managed by Vacasa. It was a very poor communications with Vacasa to get the key code to enter the home. On web, they say code will be given a week in advance but no response from Vacasa after several messages a day before the date of rental. While on phone, they said code is sent but did not happen. Finally they said, code would be sent 9 AM on the day of the rental while we are traveling. It was a bad experience!! Larry

Dirty, ants, rats, run down. Has a great location and view.
To start with the positive. The location of this property is wonderful, the ocean view from the house/patio is amazing. Second time in this rental and the property has gotten much worse. Dirty and not maintained. Will Likely not return because of filth. Unless significant cleanup is done would not recommend. There were a LOT of rat droppings under the sink. Ants everywhere. Only one set of sheets for master bed and had significant blood stains (assume period stains) on it. Gross and couldn’t replace so just washed sheets again. Washer / dryer barely work. Dish sponge was used / wet when we arrived. Also greeted by a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and a dirty dish towel in drawer. Unacceptable, especially during Covid times. Even the walls were dirty, pictures were moved and the spiderwebs behind them (and million little dead bugs in them ) were not cleaned. Water stains on the wall in master. Only one bath towel per person, not a big deal, but definitely an inconvenience considering the washer/dryer barely work and had to be run multiple times to get some sort of a wash. Overall property was too dirty to enjoy. Million unitaskers in the kitchen but lacking all amenities that can actually be used. Very disappointed.

Gorgeous location
It’s hard to beat the views from this property. They really are exquisite. The house is well stocked, beds are comfortable and clean, and the gas fireplace was lovely in the cool evenings. As mentioned, there definitely are ants around - but we kept all food in the fridge and that worked well so they weren’t a big bother. Overall, really great place.

Great view!
The house was overall pretty nice. A few problems thought. I couldn’t get there ceiling fan to work and 4 of six of the burners on the stove wouldn’t light. Also it needs a more thorough cleaning. Draws by kitchen sink were filthy. Also needs a good mopping. View was amazing from the deck.

The view
What else is there to say - the view was incredible. You can see the ocean from every room other than the one bedroom in the back. The property was very clean and the furnishings and beds were comfortable. It’s a short walk to the Main Street to the Mexican restaurant - The Black Door - and a five minute drive to grocery stores, the Four Eyed Frog bookstore, and various restaurants. .

The view takes it
This is a lovely home with an exquisite view. The home was very well appointed & clean. The gas fireplace is very nice and adds to the ambiance. The kitchen and living room are a great place to relax and is where we spent most of our time. The location was great, close to town and grocery stores and easy access to many beaches that are only a 5 to 15 minute drive. Some issues were that the ants in the kitchen were impossible to handle and any food left out on the large island was covered in tiny ants after a short time. We were warned in advance but wow, it was a constant fight that we lost and had to throw out some food unfortunately. The cooking utensils in the kitchen were very dirty and needed washing before use. We finally found the kitchen towels in the washing machine and that they were unwashed upon our arrival. The laundry is quite finicky as we found out immediately which likely explains why the towels weren't washed. The 'king bed' in the ocean view room isn't a king at all, it is two twins pushed together with a foam connector in-between which creates a rather obvious lump. This was difficult for us since we are tall individuals and having your feet hanging off of the bed wasn't restful. The other bed, queen sized, had a huge dip on one side which posed it own challenges and caused lack of sleep. Perhaps more chairs or a table on the back deck where the view is would be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay but could have had a better one without the ants and uncomfortable beds. The view can't be beat and we saw many birds and seals which was fun.

I would give it a 4.5 if I had that option. Great home and I would rent it again. We saw whales too! The downgrade from the 5.0 is due to the ants and the lack of instructions to run certain items. Ants in the bed are unacceptable (no one drank or ate in bed) – super comfy beds FYI. The ants around the range were also excessive. Note to owner, keep the Terro baits out and this will take care of it and get the granules around the exterior. Power through this for a season and you should be golden. 6 remotes by the TV when you only use one, do not need that. Figuring out how to warm the place up would really help with some instructions. Mostly positives with only a handful of issues.

Lovely Relaxing Stay
The location of this home overlooking the ocean was great! We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the beautiful ocean and weather. A third deck chair would be ideal. It was easy to find just north of Gualala. The home was comfortable, nicely furnished, and as pictured. The patio area was a nice plus.The beds were comfortable and provided a comfy nights sleep. I loved the extra sized master bed(s) Couldn't tell I was sharing with my sister! NOTE: There was no cell phone connection at the house. A few things to consider: Having a "welcome binder" with tips and phone numbers for places to eat, local favorite spots, emergency maintanace, and instructions on how to operate media and appliances would have helped us, especially when trying to use the 3 different remotes. We gave up. What electrical switch turned on what was a hunt. Any way to label these? The kitchen was lacking a few helpful items: measuring cups, mixing bowls, salt and pepper, paper napkins, plastic wrap, aluminum foil and maybe paper or plastic cups for the bathrooms. When arriving after dark the parking area is VERY dark and the steps down to the patio a bit scary for us oldies. We enjoyed our time in your house and would love to return. Thank you.

Connect in style with California coastal wildlife
We could not have been happier with our stay at this lovely home. The view from the living room, master bedroom and deck was truly amazing. Everytime we looked out to the ocean and rocks below we were treated to views of seals, all manner of sea birds, and whales. Walkable beaches a very short drive away. And the well appointed kitchen allowed us to cook in with ease and made it feel like home. We hope to be back soon and recommend this home to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway. Great place to enjoy the sea with friends.

Very nice house and location
Vacasa was not attentive and never answered any of our few questions code was given at last minute on day of travel wine cooler was not working ., we had brought 12 bottles of wine so were disappointed. ceiling fan was not working although they came and changed a special battery One stove burner was also not working. Garden looked abandoned so was no incentive to use it! The best was the views we even saw whales! Maintenance could have been better price changed upon booking w no explanation.

The View Is The Only Saving Grace.
The view was magnificent. This is the only thing I can truly say I enjoyed. Walking into the house smelling cleaning products gives you a false sense of security. Not being able to arrive until 4:00 PM due to the extra cleaning caused by the COVID Pandemic is false. It is my recommendation you fire and hire a new cleaning service. There were remnants of dead ants everywhere (which we also had an issue with and had to spray), spiders in the ceiling (cob webs), rodent repellent Deafening Sound Devices (flashing red light) in the home and lichens (moss) growing on patio furniture. The couch and chairs are designed for small people. Many broken items in the house need repair (ex. knob in shower falls completely off, no stopper in sink, curtain rod broken and fall to floor, etc...). This could be a fabulous place with some TLC inside and outside.

Gorgeous home with spectacular views.
This home is truly spectacular. The views from all but one room overlook the ocean. We saw whales and harbor seals twice a day, every day! There is an amazing gourmet kitchen and the place was spotless when we arrived.

Comfortable property, needs a little work
Pros: Comfortable home in a great location, beautiful ocean view. Cons: Laundry finicky, doesn't work well. Ant problem, it would be good to leave some ant traps for tenants to use. Could use a coat of paint and some minor repairs. Overall comfortable and great property, would stay there again.

Everything was fantastic - the house was minutes from town, yet secluded with a stunning view of the ocean. The only downside was the master bedroom contained two full beds pushed together instead of a queen/king, and it had a rather obvious crack in the middle.

Relaxing
The house was well appointed and the perfect location to disconnect. The views are absolutely amazing. We watched the fog roll in one day and that evening saw more stars than we thought were visible without a telescope. Highly recommend.

Needs maintenance.
Thick dust on bathroom fans, thick dust on glass shelf above appliances in kitchen. Makeup miiror falling off the wall. Deck boards coming up, trip hazard. Screen door on one of the exits broke, falling off, literally. The other sliding door off the master, you can't see through....so much for the view. The instant hot water dispenser doesn't work. Food in the dishwasher, and I don't mean a little...a lot. The security system doesn't work. And numerous burned out lights.

Beautiful Place
Even though there were some tiny ants and clearly needing some finishing touches on the remodel, it was still a beautiful location and a beautiful house. Felt very pampered - with fresh flowers on the table when we arrived. What you see is exactly what you get and more!
