“The Crane Resort is wonderful and absolutely terrible both. This may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. Our family loved many things about this property, but we also hated some basic must haves. First, the location can be considered a good or bad thing. The property is isolated and the activity and restaurant selection is limited. We rented a car which helped us get around. The resort is on the windy side of Barbados and the waves can be large. “Our stay at the Royalton Vessence Barbados was absolutely amazing. They didn’t have all restaurants open and I kind of expected that as they had only been open for a couple weeks prior to us coming. However, they did an amazing job at rotating which places would be open at a time. The food was great. “I am incredibly disappointed with my experience at this resort. We were three women traveling together, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel unwelcome. The lack of friendliness was noticeable throughout our stay, particularly from several of the female staff members. It was honestly uncomfortable how we were treated. “Gorgeous beaches Small resort but cozy and clean. Newly renovated so everything is nice. Food selection is bare minimum and not always catering to vegans. Nightly entertainment only some nights and ends by 9:30 pm. Shelley was amazing and attentive but other staff sometimes ignores you.”
