The property was quite beautiful, and was very well-maintained. The reason for the average review was our interaction with the lobby personnel. I made the reservation for four couples for rooms on Expedia in February. When we checked in we were informed that our rooms were not on the lake side, but on the street side. I expressed my disappointment with the location of the rooms, and offered to pay whatever premium was required in order to get Lake front rooms. The employee at the lobby, desk wise, unwilling to consider making an adjustment to our room locations, she apparently believed that, since the reservation was made through Expedia that there was no opportunity to change it. After we departed the hotel, I phoned the general manager and discussed the situation. She agreed to conduct some training to improve the performance of the lobby personnel. It was unfortunate that we could not be on the lake side of the hotel, because it is truly a beautiful property. the hotel also lost additional revenue because there were available rooms on the lake side of the hotel, if they had just been willing to allow us to use them.
