The Hotel is good, very affordable, clean, nice staff. But when you walk into reception there is a sign that there is a $14 parking fee. Now for you readers who are not familar with Parachute, Colorado..It is basically a historic truck stop off of I-70. The parking lot is a big, unsecured concrete slab. surrounded by dirt lots and a few homes. So the idea that a place like this would charge to park is absurd and other than the street right in front, there is plenty of free street parking. You stay in this hotel, because it is inexpendive and your too tired to drive the 20 mins east or west for the dozens of affordable motel/hotels that have never charged for parking.

It was Terrible. Don’t stay here. They ask for $14.00 a night to park in their empty parking lot but they don’t advertise this so you can’t back out of paying it. When asked for a discount or waiving of the fee they act like being honest and straight forward is completely out of their control.

Best price around! Impressed with the quality and cleanliness, the bed was very comfortable. Front desk service was quick and friendly, even at 9:30 pm. We save stayed here before and will stay here again.

I don’t understand why they have a $14 parking fee here and at the Grand River sister hotel. I like both hotels and the staff is accommodating. The parking lots are rarely full. Most other hotels in the region don’t have a parking fee. Sometimes the managers waive the fee but I can’t see why it was implemented on the first place. I stay at both hotels regularly.

I booked a month ahead and when I got there, they were oversold and I was told they didnt have the 2 beds I needed so we got stuck with a rollaway and a king. All they did was waive the parking fee for me. The room was ok. There were rings on the nightstands and looked like they werent wiped. There was a stick of butter in the hallway near our room that nobody picked up. Housekeeping didn't come and service our room when we were told they would. The ceiling in the pool was falling apart and the hot tub jets were out of service. The bedside lamps wouldnt shut off so we had to unplug them which made it difficult to plug in our phones so we had to plug them in across the room. Everytime we would go to or by the front desk, nobody was there and we had to ring a bell and wait. This place has potential but the staff needs more training.
