This was our second and FINAL stay at this place. We stayed here a few years ago and were again greeted by chaos in the parking lot, in the form of construction equipment crowding the handicapped parking area.
The outside was horrible. I understand Beryl had caused some damage and these issues need to be repaired. However, the parking below the structure was horrible. Screws, nails, tacks, & debris strewn about. "Park at your own risk" signage is an admission of a problem, let alone not very inviting at all.
Our 1st visit, we had NO WiFi. Our recent visit, we had NO WiFi! "Could not find IP address" "Could not connect" tells me the routers were not working, or maybe not even real. Good thing we had Hotspots, but i used my data allowance within 4 hours of being in the room for the evening.
I just gotta say something about the slimy mold present around the shower soap dispenser. I was able to clean most of it up with hot water and showerhead set to high stream. Took about 10mins. I really didn't want my wife or children exposed to that. Unsanitary conditions. Possible source of illness. Room #210. Smelled of smoke as well. No child safety lock to the balcony door - AGAIN.
Upside:
Staff is wonderful. They can only do so much with what they are given by management.
Breakfast was plentiful and my son loved the pancake machine. Nice to be able to toast your own bread, as well.
