I stayed at this property for 2 nights prior to catching a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale. The best aspect of the property are the very nice people who manage/operate it and the very close proximity to the beach. It is an older property, but NOT "run down". It is obvious they take pains to keep it looking as nice as possible. I had a broken mini-blind in my room; I reported it & they replaced it almost immediately. My room was VERY clean, the bed was comfortable and the A/C unit worked well. During my stay it was a bit chilly, so I actually did not use the AC much. I arrived via "Lyft". If you are driving a car be sure to check out the VERY expensive parking rates. There is no free off street parking anywhere, and I believe the price is $22 or more per day to park a car. There is a Publix grocery store approx. 1.5 miles away. It is very walkable (flat, no difficulty crossing the highway) but there are also public transportation options. One thing that surprised me is there are no pharmacies such as CVS or Walgreens close by, and there are no well known mini-markets anywhere around. There are a few privately owned mini-markets but 2 out of the 3 that are within close proximity are small, don't have much in stock, and are pricey. "Margaritaville" is right next door as is a free music stage (about 1/4 mile away), so it can be noisy until about 10:00 p.m. There are many nice restaurants and sundries shops within walking distance along the "Broadwalk" and on a few of the side streets.
