Great place to stay outside of the park. Around a 20 minute drive to the nearest town where you can get gas and food. Around 13 minutes to the South Gate and around an hour to the valley. Great forest view from the balcony.

It was one of my favorite places to stay in Yosemite. The location was beautiful, and I really enjoyed my time there. The only downside was the beds—they could definitely use an upgrade. The mattress was uncomfortable, and I woke up with back pain after sleeping on it. Overall, I would stay here again, but more comfortable beds would make the experience even better.

I thought the place was great! The staff went out of their way to help in any way possible. The room was clean, bright, decorated perfectly and had a great view from the deck. The location was perfect. I had a great week there, I would definitely stay again. Many thanks to the friendly Inn staff and crew in the restaurant, the chef was awesome.

The place is really cozy and has a warm cabin feel. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Only complaint was the bed wasn't very comfortable and the pillows were a little flat for my liking. Overall the place was a nice stay and the staff were really friendly.

Actually, some of the tree limbs around the pool and in the parking lot area should be trimmed lots of dead limbs in the trees other than that everything was great

This is one of the first lodges outside the national park and the people who run this place are AMAZING! The lodge is, as you would expect a bit rustic in places but I loved the traditional vibe they are keen to maintain. It is peaceful and quaint and the parking right outside the lodge a great help. We didn’t try the pool but they have tried to cater for tourists 24/7 and I think their little extras of coffee in the office and free bottled water were nice little touches. Our room was ok, needs a little TLC as does some of the grounds but I understand new people are in and I hope they do those little things that add to the quality of this little lodge place. It was a gem and I can’t praise the staff who work there enough.

Narrow Gauge was a basic mountain motel. Some old charm and basic accommodations. The room we were in (38) was a bit noisy with a wooden staircase and rickety noisy wooden porch outside the door. Bed was comfy and had all necessities. Carpet was a bit grody and small shower but very good water pressure. Staff at the front were super and the restaurant and bar are good.

No continental breakfast as described on Expedia's website. Pool is not open for the season, even if the website says it is. Room smelled like must and strong cleaning products. Walls are very thing - I could hear the neighbors. The proximity to Yosemite is the best thing about this property.
