“Building itself is old and rather quirky. Room was small but very clean and adequate for stay. Food both in evening and breakfast was exceptional and there is a good choice of beers. Staff all very accommodating - my only gripe would be that listing should include directions to car park - hotel is on a one way system and the postcode takes you to front whereas car park is at rear. Bit of a mare, particularly arriving during rush hour.”

“Do-it--yourself hotel (passcode to all areas) Excellent room and shower. Very clean, modern and well laid out. Free continental breakfast a bonus. Central location close to several restaurants.. No parking at accommodation but reasonably priced car park a short stroll away (£1.60 overnight). Do not leave your car outside for long (parking attendant materialises from nowhere).”

“Excellent, prompt professional staff. Room was tastefully decorated and spacious with comfortable bed and lovely toiletries. Delicious breakfast too with some unusual additions to stand out from the usual full english offering etc. Our 2nd visit and we hope to return again soon !!”

“Had a lovely relaxing break with my partner and another couple. We stayed Friday-Sunday. Lodge was beautiful and clean. Hot tub was excellent and got cleaned whilst we were there. Excellent communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend a stay here. ”
