“They have roaches. I don't recommend staying there. I stayed for one night there the roaches crawling on me. Canceled the the rest of the stay and they refuse to refund my money. And not to metion there is mold in the tub and cobb webs behind the bed. Don't waste your time and money.”

“You feel as though you are in a hidden paradise starting right off from the beautiful jungle road leading to the cabin. Private little oasis in truth and very relaxing. My family loved the back deck and spent much of our time at the cabin there. The wood fire burner was lovely in the early morning while it was cooler. My daughter loved the hottub and the backyard. All in all was a lovely place to stay while in Volcano and would highly recommend to others.”

“This cottage was special. From the outdoor kitchen/living room to the comfy bed and the private outdoor toilet/shower. Experiencing off-grid living was awesome. Neil was a great host and explained everything to us and we had some great personal "talk story" sessions. One of the reasons for this short staycation was to look at properties and we are looking forward to hopefully being friends and neighbors with Neil. We definitely recommend his BnB.”

“It was perfect for our state. Very clean kind of treehouse vibes in the middle of the fern forest the price was extremely reasonable. Location is very secluded in the middle of the forest gravel road going in very dark if you come in late but very safe location we stayed in number five had a perfect shower table microwave small fridge upstairs had a bed and a restroom, I would recommend If you like to save the environment and stay away from lots of touristy types of properties. “This location was perfect for exploring the national park and the southern end of the island. You can be looking at the Kilauea caldron in less than 10 min from the house! The house is cozy, and beautifully built. We loved sitting out on the back porch and watching the family of pheasants peck around every morning. It was a bit musty smelling, and could use a deep clean but the price is pretty low for the location and all the space you get.”

“Very beautiful property that is just minutes to the park entrance. Everything was super clean and the beds/bedding were all very comfortable. We didn’t cook but the kitchen seemed to be well stocked (and very tidy!). We also didn’t use the hot tub but it too looked super clean (unlike most places we’ve stayed). The sound of the tree frogs at night is magical! Would not hesitate to stay here again.”
