“Das Frühstück war jeden Tag sehr reichhaltig. Der Kaffee war eher durchschnittlich und der Kaffeeautomat streikte hin und wieder. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet! Leider war das gesamte Hotel sehr hellhörig. Knallende Türen leider zu oft, besonders bis spät in den Abend. Die Aussicht vom Balkon war atemberaubend.”

What a surprise to learn that this stay gains access to a sixth generation adjacent garden (easily 3 acres in area) not available to the public and easily comparable in beauty to the Terra Nostra gardens. Imagine sitting under vast 200 year old trees listening to nothing but birdsong and the beautiful river running through the property whilst inhaling the subtle fragrance of azaleas and clean air. “The quality and size of the “apartments” (they’re basically houses, it’s great) is phenomenal for the price. To have a private back deck, many air conditioners, a kitchen, a nice bathroom, FOUR sets of sliding doors.. it was great. Friendly cats run the grounds, par for the course in Europe. Parking is a little tight and it’s in a quaint area of the island but those very small “negatives” are so heavily outweighed by the friendliness of staff, 24 hour pool and big clean rooms that it’s barely……

“The apartment was very clean and the owners were very friendly. The bathroom is nice and big and has a bidet. It also had a washing machine which was nice! You could walk to the restaurants and to the grocery store. The street noise is very loud and you have to keep the windows open because it is very warm inside. Also, the room upstairs is very steep so if you have trouble walking it is hard to use them in the middle of the night to go to the restroom. If you are driving a car, it is a very……

“The property had everything what we were looking for. It was spacious, safe, clean with with beautiful views. There are plenty of restaurants in the walking distance. Also you can buy everything you need in the local grocery shop. Place is close to the downtown and beaches. There is no located parking, however you can always find a parking spot near the building. Overall, we had an amazing experience. ”

“Place was just as pictured. Clean. Ideal location. Comfiest beds we had in our 5 week vacation. Staff had limited English, but decent French (and significantly better than my Portuguese), so overall no difficulties communicating with them. They were very responsive on WhatsApp and willing to help with booking excusions, willing to provide information. Very happy with our stay (except for the weather, but can’t control when storms decide to pass by). ”

“The place was fantastic, gorgeous and awesome. Location was great, just in the suburbs of Ponta Delgado. The accommodations were superb, we stayed in the family villa with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms... each bedroom was on opposite ends, and there was doors subdividing the area, for extra privacy. Very nice. The owner Paulo and caretaker Claudio were very helpful and friendly. Vinnie the big pup was a big lovable doofus. If we are able to make it back to the Azores again, we would try to……
