I was quite disappointed with how we were treated at the time of check-in. I was told in a firm manner to hand over my ID and credit card with no explanation as to if my credit card is going to be charged again, holding fees or damage deposit taken off. My passport was shoved back to me, and slammed my room key down on the desk. We were not told what room we were staying in, all we were explained is there was a continental breakfast and the pool was open until 11 PM. When we got into our room, we had no lights turned on for us, and had to walk in the dark to try and find a light switch, room was not very clean and our smoke detector was disabled sitting behind our TV with exposed wiring in the ceiling. When we came back from shopping, the main doors to the hotel were locked and we had not been made aware that we needed our room key to re enter the hotel. The front desk attendant stood there watching us with a scowl in her face and rolling her eyes as we read directions on how to enter and finding our room key. In our room, there is dust everywhere, hair left in the bathtub, our remote was covered with a white substance (hope it was yogurt, may have been semen).
I’ve stayed at this hotel in the past and we were treated well the first time with friendly staff and clean surroundings, but this entire encounter was quite disappointing and made us not want to book this hotel again for our future stays
