The location was amazing, I don’t think I had ever seen a more beautiful sunset. It was private and quiet and exactly what we were looking for. It was stocked with coffee and tea and a little basket of snacks along with all of the other cooking essentials. Tons of available towels and toiletries. It really has the makings to be a go to getaway.
Now, I need to start off by saying that any faults we found did not take away from how relaxing the long weekend was. With a few adjustments, this really could be a great getaway spot. Cleanliness was the biggest issue. The fridge/freezer had a spilled sticky residue and there were bits and pieces of old food on most surfaces of the fridge. There were bugs on a lot of the blinds and you could tell they had been there awhile. The shelving in one of the showers had pieces of the shampoo/conditioner bottles on them and old soap, the tub had hair in it.The owner was very responsive and offered to have a cleaner come out but we declined and just wanted to relax. If we planned on staying longer then we would have accepted the offer, but for the first night after a 6 hour drive we didn’t want to do anything but relax. Another thing to be aware of is spiders. Everything on the back porch was covered in webs and spiders. We took some time to clear a lot of them including all in and around the grill. The owner apologized and was really nice about everything which i appreciated and would give it another try.
