“The best thing about our stay was the staff. They were very nice and helpful in anything we asked. They were even proactive in letting us know that the breakfast area was flooded due the heavy rain and made suggestions of other places to go in the area. The hotel needs repairs and the homeless/drug addicts that stay around the hotel all day and night made us feel a little unsafe.”

“Victoria House is a boutique hotel in downtown Frederiksted, right across from the water. The hotel is eclectic, beautiful and relaxing and it felt like home. Each room is special and welcoming. “Our cottage Castaways is a bit rustic but have all the basic things and is comfortable. They had some issues with water supply due to island wide outage, but it was fixed within a day. The beach is very beautiful, easy access and you can snorkel for hours right at the beach, lots of tropical fish, sea turtles. Our cottage was toward the back of the property, so very quiet. “The location of this property was great. The shoreline was 10-15 yards from our patio. The beach is stony and was best if I wore water shoes. “The host is above and beyond what you could ask for. I definitely recommend this experience for any nature lover. The site was definitely worth the stay to hear all the beautiful sounds of St Croix. “If the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit.

“We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description.
