“Victoria House is a boutique hotel in downtown Frederiksted, right across from the water. The hotel is eclectic, beautiful and relaxing and it felt like home. Each room is special and welcoming. “Our cottage Castaways is a bit rustic but have all the basic things and is comfortable. They had some issues with water supply due to island wide outage, but it was fixed within a day. The beach is very beautiful, easy access and you can snorkel for hours right at the beach, lots of tropical fish, sea turtles. Our cottage was toward the back of the property, so very quiet. “The location of this property was great. The shoreline was 10-15 yards from our patio. The beach is stony and was best if I wore water shoes. “If the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit.
Had a great time at the Inn and went snorkeling right at the bottom of the driveway. We had a room with no AC and just listened to the wildlife all night. Wonderful!”

“We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. “We spent 8 days on island and this was the perfect home base for the week. It's not fancy, but it has updated amenities, it's clean, comfortable, has everything you need, (including beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels) minutes from Christiansted-but away from the crowds. When we had questions we just texted the owner and she responded within minutes. Definitely recommend if you're on a mid-range budget. It's worth every penny...”
