When we arrived, we waited in line for many minutes, primarily because the manager discussed his lack of job satisfaction with the preceding guests and wanting less guests at the hotel. Once we entered our room, it was 81 degrees inside. There was central air conditioning which was pouring out hot air. There was a small window unit in the bedroom which wasn’t doing any better. Within a half hour, the temperature rose to 83. A little later it was 85. I asked the manager to address this and he said he would call maintenance at another hotel. When I checked later he said maintenance was coming. I asked that if this could not be fixed, would we be placed in another room, one with air conditioning. He said there were no other rooms available. I asked that if that was the case, would we be transferred to a neighboring hotel and he stated that would not be possible. I rechecked again about a half hour later, and the manager stated that maintenance would be here in 15 minutes. I called Expedia support and talked with Ziad. He said that he informed the manager that if the issue was not fixed the hotel must give us a full refund. I checked with the manager again and suddenly a room became available. And, maintenance was too busy at other hotels to come. I asked to speak with a supervisor and left with a promised that she would call me. Never did. The blatant lying soured our stay. The hotel otherwise was ok, a little run down.
