Our 2-bedroom cabin was, in a word, fine. It had a queen bed, and a set of bunk beds. There were enough pillows and extra blankets available and lots to do for kids and adults alike. The canoes and kayaks were a great addition. But this property has clearly not seen any routine maintenance in a long time; the deadbolt would not close, the dishwasher filter had never been cleaned and was disgusting, the bathroom vanity drawers were falling apart, and the toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall. When it comes to available supplies within the cabin, we booked it as a group of 5 and yet we were only provided with 5 forks, knives, and spoons and had to either wash dishes every meal or buy our own. We stayed for 4 nights and had to bring our own towels for showers because they only provided a small number and would have charged us for extras. The water availability was seriously questionable. I understand being patient with hot water in a cabin setting, but there were many times when the water simply shut off in the middle of a shower or there was not enough to flush the toilet. When I asked the office, they mentioned that we were on a well and had to just wait for the water to come back on. So, was it fine? Yes. Would we stay there again? Maybe? But not likely.
