“My cousin got married at Forest Hill Lodge, and we found this cottage to stay at. It was the perfect location! Literally 500 feet away and we didn't have to worry about driving the windy roads back to a hotel. The space was perfect for me and my husband, nice and clean, and had an air conditioner. The only issue we had was that the given information for the wifi connection was not accurate, but we had full internet on our phones, so it wasn't a big deal for us.”

“They removed the control module from the water heater. I presume this is to prevent guests from adjusting the temperature so they can save a few bucks. No one responded until the next day - only to tell me that it was going to be 2+ weeks before they could fix it! They offered to move us, but we that would have required us to cancel the activity we signed up for and lose our deposit... There was no toilet paper or trash bags. A big deal because they will fine you $100 if the trash isn't bagged……

“We were having a family gathering in Truckee and so unfortunately, didn't get to enjoy the coziness of this property as much as we would have liked, as we were out much of the weekend. This is a great spot. We loved the layout of the home, the beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and the hot tub was a wonderful amenity. The instructions for check-in, check-out, and the home were all very clear. Would definitely stay again!”

“This is a beautiful home. The builders put more window than wall wherever possible and there are lovely views in all directions. Looking through the trees at the valley below from the deck was especially nice. Lot's of privacy and space with a tall fence with only visible neighbor. House was well stocked- did all our meals there and found everything we needed. Seems like they've added things to the kitchen since earlier reviews. Spotlessly clean. Host replied quickly when I had trouble……

“Constructive criticism: we couldn't find a remote control that worked on the tv, bring your own Roku like we did, and you're fine. The pots and pans should be in better shape than they are. How about a decent broom and dust pan that we can use. Minor stuff about using someone else's house. 5 stars, we'll rent this house again.”
