“We spent 3 nights in 2 over-water bungalows…4 generations ages 2 to 85. The houses were well equipped and maintained. Beds were comfy, tvs were great for nighttime watching. The front porch was a great place to hang out, eat, etc. my only suggestion is maybe put a rope ‘net’ at the end of the floating piers between the houses to make them a little safer for little children. Otherwise, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend a visit for this unique experience.”

“This home is located in a great spot directly across from the park playground and splash fountain. We could easily take out young kids there daily. The fenced in yard was great for kids and our dog. The kitchen was well stocked, the only down side to the home is the flooring is slanted in a couple spots. If that bothers you it may not be the best home, but to us it was fine being an older home and all. The originsL features were great! We would come back.”

“We had a great time at Sir Whelk-A-Lot! It was the perfect little cottage for our family of 6 and we will definitely come back!Our older boys really enjoyed having their own space upstairs, although you have to be really careful on the short, steep, carpeted stairs to the room. We had several slips when coming down. The location is great! Lots of stuff in town was within walking distance and the fact that bikes were included made everything but the beach easily accessible. “We planned a quick get-a-way and decided to come to Cape Charles to spend the day and stay over night. The house was charming with plenty of room. The owners communicated well and they were very accommodating on my last minute trip planning. The beach wasn’t far at all and town was in walking distance with nice weather. “Great trip for spring break! The house is perfectly situated walking distance between the main park and beach. Having the golf cart available worked well for travel to and from the downtown shops and eateries. Ashley was easy, flexible, and very prompt to communicate with. “House was absolutely perfect. Outdoor space was fantastic for our corgi (yard and gated porch) to play. Plenty of room for older kids to spread out into the game barn. “We were responsible for all housekeeping for more than a week, but they were stingy with supplies to do our own housekeeping. I had to list what items I intended to clean (sink, toilet, light switches, etc) in order to access cleaning items.
