“A bizarre experience… Wasn’t able to actually stay at this property as I never received check-in instructions from the host. Unfortunately the host read and ignored my messages and emails as well as communications from the property manager (they weren’t much help either), for reasons unknown. Luckily hotels.com stepped in and gave me a full refund + a voucher for compensation.”

“Very nice property. Communication with the owner was easy. Would definitely recommend!”

“Stayed here for a week while moving between properties. The apartment is located perfectly in the centre of St. Alban's, ideal for access to all local attractions. It is nice and spacious inside - and very reasonably priced. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any queries which was much appreciated.However there were 1 or 2 dissappitning issues - some that could be improved and others that are inherent limitations with the property. Firstly the property was very difficult to keep……

“Both my wife and I and our grandson had a lovely time at Valentine Cottage, we were blessed with lovely weather and the cottage was worm and cosy....we would highly recommend staying there.”

“Lovely cottage in a perfect location, great walks and lots of places to visit.Had everything we needed, fabulous few days away.”

“We enjoyed our stay - the property was clean and is well looked after. It is a traditional chalet in a private holiday park which has some good amenities - at an extra cost. We appreciated the help from the owner when we needed it and was helpful at answering our queries before our stay. There are a few things that would make our score excellent - clarity of cost of electricity and instructions in the chalet of how to use it would have been helpful. Good for value

"Close to Stansted airport. Bear in mind £4 per trip to and from airport. Breakfast included. So very good for value. In general it’s a but dated. McDonald’s and M&S food hall just a min walk away. For a brief stay to catch an early flight. Very good choice. "
