So convenient to all the sights, foods, stores, pubs, restaurants you may wish for, and a beautiful and short walk, or bus ride, from the train station. Leiden is wonderful, a smaller scale version of Amsterdam w/o the tourists and noise. The apartment was wonderful: All one needs for an extended stay: Clean, quiet, bright, comfortable beds (King in one room; 2 twins in the second bedroom), convenient kitchenette, washer and dryer. ……

The manager called the day we were meant to check in to ask us to check in late which we did because they were on holiday or there was a staff shortage or someone was sick - I couldn't keep up with what the problem was. When we arrived there was dirty underwear, dirty bedding, full garbage bins, a huge leak in the living room, 0 toilet paper, no shampoo, soap or coffee.
