We were checked in but not given any information other than our room number and told it was on the third floor. We went up in the lift but could find no room that matched our room number so my partner went back to reception while I waited with cases. They had omitted to tell us that while on the third floor, you needed to take the lift to the first floor, then walked through the corridors to another lift to take us to the third floor. The room we were allocated was a nice size but weirdly the bathroom door that was opposite the bed, was glazed and offered little privacy for anyone on the loo, we were also unsure if the room category was correct as there were no robes as per the upgrade I’d paid for. My partner once again went to reception, we were offered a room swap with a more private bathroom, which we took but the room was much, much smaller and offered poor value for the upgraded price. Despite telling the staff member that this room also had no robes, we were not provided with them on either night of our stay. We were also not given any of the access codes for the exec lounge or the gym until we asked - it felt like the staff were not particularly proactive. We were given a free cocktail each due to our experience. The location was excellent.
