“Hotel was beautifully decorated, staff were very friendly & professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here for a romantic getaway. ”
“The Lochaline Hotel is located in the tiny village of Lochaline, which is reached by a rather long drive on a single-track road. Although remote, the hotel rewards a stay with its peacefulness. It is located right on the sound. The ferry runs frequently to Mull and no reservation is needed. Our hosts were warmly welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the sound. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order.”
“The place is right next to the water - unobstructed view. The 0.7 mile walk to center of Oban was nice in good weather but we got wet several time (expected this for October). Public transportation was hard to find so needed our car. Our room was a little small and cramped, but we could see other larger rooms. Check in and parking was a bit of a hassle. Great “Continental breakfast “ that included meats, cheeses, baked goods and more- well worth the modest cost ”
“On a hill with a great view. Accommodations were excellent. A bit difficult to find for someone not familiar with the area and non-numbered house addresses. Just ask for directions from one of the neighbors you’ll likely find walking their dog and you’ll be fine. ”
“The stay from start to finish was faultless. The room was beautifully decorated, with a good choice of hot drinks. The bed was massive and super comfy. It was the staff that really made this stay so good. They were all very friendly and accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. They go out their way to make sure everything just perfect. The food was also delicious.”
“Second time staying at this hotel, this time with friends. Superb stay, beautiful setting and friendly, helpful welcoming staff. Such a relaxing stay, wished it had been for longer. Will definitely be back.Thank you.”
“Superb hotel with great front of house staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern. Meal choices and food quality was fantastic; Andy and Precious were brilliant and very friendly staff members. I would definitely stay here again.”
“The main building is a beautiful old country house. The food is lovely with a very relaxing atmosphere. The Clarsach being played near the roaring wood fire was really special. Having your own island to explore is a bonus!”
“A great locatio. With amazing sea views with lots of wild life inc a seal who peeked out regularly, we could even watch from our bed. The room waa smal but adequate, the floors creaked a lot. Beautiful food in the restaurant could have been a bit hotter but still tasted great. Over all still a 10 out of ten will revisit soon.”
