Overall it was ok but not quite up to the standards of a Holiday Inn Express. Couldn't get any food the first night; they sold the restaurant to an "event". The event played loud, thumping music til midnight that came up through the building structure and could be heard in all the rooms. No point in trying to sleep until it was over.
The food was typical Irish (no surprise: lots eggs, beans, and high-fat meats. Some fruit, no juice. About like an Irish Denny's.
The beds were comfortable and slept well after the noise stopped. It's a retrofit of a Victorian era building so lots of levels, not all of which are served by the light. Those with disabilities might find it challenging but we saw worse accessibility in other places.
Overall assessment: it'll do but of the 6 hotels we stayed in on our trip, this one was #6.
