This is a beautiful ship in an incredible setting - we had coffee in the AM watching floatplanes and cruise ships glide by - in the evening seals and sea lions coupled with fishing cruisers coming and going was beautiful. “Incredibly beautiful Herring Cove. Eight and one half mile south of Ketchikan. Right on the water. We caught salmon, had a bear amble through the yard at twilight. Saw a humpback whale breach over and over. Caught huge , delicious Dungeness crab. What a fantastic week and for our family the perfect walk down memory lane. Fifty years ago we lived here ”

“As I told you when I rented your VRBO this is my first experience doing so. I didn't ask sufficient questions and learned from that experience. For instance, I didn't know that the bathroom door was installed backwards and the a person could be trapped in the bathroom in a fire if the freezer door opened during that type of event. I neglected to ask it there were end tables and lights in the living area. I didn't ask if there was a step-up into the shower and no handles on that wall. I didn't……

“Everything was exactly as advertised. Clean and comfortable. Location requires a rental car, but since we had one, it worked just fine. We enjoyed being so close to Herring Cove where we could watch the bears and eagles first thing every morning, and last thing every evening. Can't walk to the ocean, as the forest is too thick. View is beautiful, tho.”
