"The property was lovely and very clean with all outdoor dining. Small birds flew in and out as we ate, yet I never saw a mess from them. The hotel cat was very friendly and visited our balcony most evenings to receive pets. The breakfast buffet was ample and good. They were very accommodating for my gluten intolerant husband, purchasing several gluten- free types of bread and cookies for him without asking. The website led me to believe they were more prepared for English speaking guests...

"Excellent position in peaceful surroundings, right on the lovely beach with a large decked pool area. Good food in a very spacious dining area. We were in one of the huts in the garden which were just a short walk to the beach, beach bar, dining area and pool. Spacious, comfortable and very quiet. One slight negative: there are not enough parasols around the pool area. There was a local protest group blocking road access to the hotel for the duration of the stay. "Cariab Bay is a comfortable place with Duplex style houses surrounded by lush foliage across several winding paths. The breakfast is very good, European style, with croissants, coffee, yogurt, cheese, and fresh fruit. Catherine and Christophe are warm and inviting people, and their staff is friendly. French is mainly spoken but they'll accommodate your English with gaps in interpretation. The beds are mostly singles, with double or full consisting of two singles pushed together. The shower...

"As the visitors information book says "We are not a hotel nor are we trying to be." This was a wonderful place for folks who prefer to be left to their own devices. Our cottage was at the edge of a path leading down to the beach. The amenities were simple: small bedroom, kitchenette, just a shower, and a quite private terrace with an amazing view of the Caribbean -- gorgeous sunsets every night! The place is quite close by car to many excellent restaurants and beaches. Definitely worth it!"
