“Stayed for one night in the Kedleston suite. Greeted on arrival by very professional, friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with good facilities and good quality fixtures and fittings. Bed was very comfortable, slept really well, although the room was on the front of the property we weren’t disturbed with any road noise. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday and the restaurant is closed but would have loved to have tried an evening meal there. However we……

“Everything was excellent. My only concern was the very poor drive leading from Staden Lane: huge pot holes in a rough surface made this an unfriendly approach, one not appreciated by my car.”

“Could be kept better garden was untidy and grass needed cutting. Restaurant was very good, nice evening meal and great breakfast. Lovely Rural location perfect for walkers”

“This was a quaint little cottage nestled a stones throw from chatsworth with incredible walks in the doorstep and a local beautiful pub mere metres to the side. The hosts were brilliant, the property was immaculate I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Really grateful for the time I spent there and just brilliant ”

“This is a lovely friendly pub with excellent staff. The locals were welcoming as well. The beer brewed on the premises was excellent as was the food. I can't fault our stay there. Plenty of parking at the pub now, with a new car park. Handy travel time to Critch, Matlock and the Peak District. Located on the side of a steep hill, so walking anywhere is a good bit of exercise!”
