“This is a cool cabin in the woods. Just what we needed to get away from it all. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The locals we met were very friendly, and we enjoyed talking with them. We also took in the Potomac Eagle train ride and enjoyed the town of Romney. We look forward to staying here again.”

“Great experience! Super-easy check-in. Great communication. Property was high-quality, clean and even better than pictured in the photos. Lots of privacy in a peaceful setting. Hosts were very friendly, accommodating and are close by in case anything was needed. The hosts are actually builders and we are now considering them for building a home on nearby land we purchased!”

“Had a wonderful time on our short stay. Got some good walks in, saw a bunch of turkeys and enjoyed the solitude. Enjoyed a nice drive to Wardensville then up Winchester. Also had a fun dinner in Strasburg at the Old Dominion Doggery and Burger Shoppe. Highly recommend the cabin.”

“We had a very nice stay at this cute cabin. Loved the access to the trail right at the house. We found lots of trails to hike and even forged a small stream! Cabin was very nice and very eclectic. “We were extremely impressed with Lost River Luxury Cabin! It exceeded our expectations! The house had every amenity you could need. We loved having the fire wood stacked outside our door ready for a cozy evening sitting on a huge comfortable learner couch in front of the crackling flames. They even had an extended utensil to toast marshmallows for some Smores! The interior was decorated very tastefully and the construction is superb! One of our best VRBO stays and we’ve been to quite a few!……

“The cabin was nicely located on the river, but was a little loud at times from truck noise on the road. Interior was clean and comfortable. The code wasn't updated at check-in, and it took us about 5-10 minutes of standing outside at night to get it resolved. Also, the guest house lights randomly went on during our second evening and shone bright lights into the cabin. Manager did not respond until the next morning.”

“We enjoyed our stay. The home is lovely on the inside with a wonderfully stocked kitchen and very comfortable living room. Nice thoughtful touches like a welcome basket with snacks was much appreciated. It was very relaxing. We enjoyed the porch and the peaceful, private location. Don’t be fooled by the rustic outside - once you get inside the laid back stress-free vibe will take over and you’ll love being there. The bedrooms were nice - the bed in the smaller of the two has a very soft mattress……
