The coffee area was sticky, and the edges/crevasses have not been cleaned in some time. It was not a filthy room and was fine for what we needed, a place to sleep for the night, but it is nothing special.

The Rocky Gap was a stop on the way back from Maryland Live Casino. We find the place very quaint. I thought the rooms would be more updated, but they were fine, they were clean. The casino is a smaller Casino. It's still a very nice Casino. It would be a beautiful place to visit in the summer as they have beautiful grounds . If you're a golfer that's for you. They also have a small Beach which is nice. I think I'd stop back to visit in the summer. We were there Thanksgiving weekend. Overall it was a very nice time.

What a beautiful property and area! We only had one night to stay here as we passed through during the off-season, but wished we had more time. We chose this spot due to the fact that we had dining options that we didn't even have to leave the building for, which was very nice after a long day's drive, and so that the next morning we could take a nice hike before hitting the road again. Both were perfect. I could imagine how nice it is to stay for a little vacay on the lake. Their beach, outdoor decks and lounge areas, and of course the outdoor bar would be so nice during summer weather, but even in the cold, it was nice to have such a big space to wander around and hang out inside too. We didn't use the pool, but it looked really nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was not accommodating, most were unfriendly and displayed a poor presentation of hotel customer service. Definitely not a kid friendly hotel. I do not recommend staying here if you’re bringing your whole family. The hotel is decent enough, if you’re staying for just a few nights to gamble & party in the small casino. Also, there’s no microwave in the rooms to reheat food or make a quick snack. There are no vending machines with snacks, chips, sodas or water. All that must be purchased in the lobby, at the very limited over priced snack market bar. We will not be returning to this hotel, and I would not recommend it. The downtown area seems to be more our area, especially since we came for the Christmas activities and Polar Express Train. So if you’re bringing the kids at Christmas, choose a different hotel.
